I first heard of Cameron at a Graduate Careers Fair in Manchester. Having spoken to one of the recruitment team I was interested to learn of the graduate opportunities available at an industry leader such as Cameron. The Graduate Rotational Development Program sounded like a great career opportunity with the chance to develop in different areas and learn a variety of skills.
I remember arriving for the assessment centre, I was nervous and did not know what to expect but my nerves eased as the day went on. The day proved to be enjoyable; although it is competitive it is good way to mix with other graduates and a great chance to learn more about the company to see if it’s the right fit for you.
My current rotation is within Health, Safety and Environment. The company puts great emphasis on providing a safe working environment. With such heavy industry the potential to cause harm is immense. The Leeds plant has an excellent record and I am currently on a project to secure the Cameron Citadel Silver Award, this time next year we will strive to achieve the Gold Award!
During my time at Cameron I have also been heavily involved in Continuous Improvement. As a manufacturing organisation we strive for lean production to stay ahead of the game. I eventually see myself as going into a Black Belt Role getting involved in improving processes and making the company more competitive.
